1. Learner Development
Students are very visual learners, it is important to have an example on display or a model of what is being taught. Students thrive on the organization as well as appealing visuals. In several of my lessons, I like to use appealing visuals such as anchor charts where students are able to refer to a visual model that they are able to break down. In my lesson, I use examples to help model and break down the content. Having those visual examples for students to refer back to and anchor charts become a great tool for students to become familiar with the material.

Comprehension Skill: Visualization
Intervention Whole group
This lesson was an introduction to a reading skill visualization. I had the students try to focus on their five senses regarding visualization. I started by introducing an activity where one student was selected to use their fives sense and adjectives to describe what they saw and feel. I tried to use fun objects that students would get excited over. I tied this activity to our next unit on adjectives.
