6. Assessment
During student teaching, I was able to create numerous forms of assessment whether it is a formative or summative assessments. Before I create any form of assessment, I always like to view the standards or the “I can'' list to ensure I incorporate questions that can help display that data of understanding. When it comes to collecting assessments, I like to make sure that students are able to clearly understand the instructions and the task that they are being asked to perform when it comes to presenting their knowledge. It is crucial that students clearly understand instructions. When I create assessments, I like to write them out as simply and direct as possible. For formative assessments, I like to provide some sort of example for students to refer to because it allows them to refer if they need it. For hard summative assessments, I ensure to bold any specific instructions if needed. When I create their assessments I like to have students display their knowledge of understanding by using fill-in-the-blanks or any open-ended. The view opened ended questions and can display a lot of what the students know.
